Pencil Drawing: 6 Week Workshop

Skill level: Beginner to intermediate wanting a brush-up.

Learn to draw or to improve your drawing. Drawing skills include using line and shading, value, perspective, seeing as an artist, drawing from both photos and direct observation, and color drawing. The first four weeks will be graphite pencil drawing only. During the last two weeks we will add watercolor pencil.

This class is for ages 12 through adult. Children younger than 12 may participate but only if an adult is taking the class along with them.

Required supplies: You will need a number two pencil with eraser, or a set of four or more drawing pencils in different hardnesses. Sketch pad or sketchbook, 8x10, 9x12, or 11x14. Pencil eraser. Colored pencils. Detailed list with brand suggestions available at gallery or by email carolinehenryartist@gmail.com.

Workshop Fee: Workshop Fee: Art Center members $72 for the series; non-members $90 for the series. Payment is due in advance of the first class or can be paid on the day of the first class if you have already registered.
