Workshop Description:
This is a six week series of using watercolor painting and ink drawing to create art. Begins with introduction or review of watercolor painting basics and line drawing. Students will learn to paint a n image and use line drawing to highlight the painting, to draw a detailed picture and add color to make it vivid, and to build a drawing using ideas suggested by random patterns of watercolor on paper. At different times we will work from objects, from photos, and from imagination.
Class Audience:
Adults and kids who are confident enough to be at ease in a class with grownups.
Class Experience Level:
All experience levels welcome.
Class Size:
Minimum: 4 - Maximum: 10
Required Supplies:
A 9” by 12” pad of watercolor paper, Ink pens, such as Staedtler or Micron Pigma fine liners. A watercolor set, either pan or tube. There is not a set palette of colors for this class. Watercolor brushes. I like round brushes.
Workshop Fees:
Fee is for full six weeks paid in advance.
Members: $72
Non-Members: $84
Students who prefer to pay by the week pay instructor directly, $12 per week for members, $14 per week for nonmembers.
Payment due in advance of the Class, including on the day of. Drop Ins are welcome, space permitting.
